ECO DOC
Wilderness, water, clatter, forest: the programme of the Eco Doc section has been built around those keywords. We are going to delve into nature sensorially, as the full appreciation of its complexity requires a comprehensive view and demands actual exchange: a reflection on what the environment gives us and what we can do for it. We will look at nature in its unblemished form, but also at people who have experienced a special bond with nature, for a better understanding of the human role in the ecosystem. Besides recalling cult figures, such as entomologist Maria Sibylla Merian and naturalist Włodzimierz Puchalski, we will get to know some extraordinary people living today musician and social activist Michał Zygmunt, who sails along Polish rivers in a traditional boat made of wood, or a family living in the Białowieża Forest, right on the border with Belarus.
