Dokument czy fabuła? To pierwsze pytania rodzące się podczas seansu filmu Prus, odkrywającego mechanizmy rosyjskiego systemu trenowania przyszłych mistrzów olimpijskich. Innymi słowy: Jak wytresować zwycięzcę? Gdyby był filmem fabularnym, opowiedziana w nim historia mogłaby się wydawać zbyt nieprawdopodobna, by w nią uwierzyć, a jego bohaterki – zdecydowanie zbyt osobliwe, by mogły być prawdziwe. Rzeczywistość okazała się jednak hojniejsza niż wyobraźnia, a dokument Marty Prus ogląda się jak pierwszorzędny dramat psychologiczny. (Dorota Kostrzewa, Filmweb).
 
Over the limit is a portrait of the Russian gymnast Margarita Mamun, showing her in the decisive year of her life, as Margarita has the unique chance of joining the national team to compete in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and win the gold medal.
 
Is it a documentary or a feature film? These questions are the first to come to mind as one watches Prus’s film, which reveals the mechanisms of training future Olympic champions the Russian way. In other words: how to train a winner? Had it been a feature film, the story it tells would have seemed too improbable to be believed, and its protagonists decidedly too peculiar to be authentic. However, the reality proved more generous than imagination, and the experience of Marta Prus’s picture is that of a first-rate psychological drama. (Dorota Kostrzewa, Filmweb).
